You glance down at the diagram on your clipboard before looking back at the zoo beginning to take shape in front of you. The herbivore enclosure will fit perfectly in the top corner of the grounds. Maybe a large topiary should go next to it. You look at the diagram again, making a few changes to optimize the layout. Adding another section for the monorail track to zoom guests around the zoo would be a good idea. You adjust your plan and hurry off to talk to the workers. You can’t wait for opening day.
It’s your job as the director to plan and construct a dinosaur zoo to surpass any others. Strategically select the features you want and race against the clock to quickly piece together your zoo’s layout in this real-time card game. Mesozooic is available for pre-order now and will be available in stores in Q4.

IELLO’s 8-Bit Box is a splicing of arcade gaming and board games, with controller-like components used to emulate cabinet inputs and a shared play-space in the form of the board, representing the screen.
In what is probably the most pure fusion of earlier forms of gaming, IELLO’s upcoming 8-Bit Box manages to fuse together early gaming and board-gaming in a way which cleverly emulates synchronised, same-screen play while keeping the slower, observed, tactical nature of turn-based board-game play.
Pixoid, the first of the three games planned to be included in the core box, is an homage to Pac-Man. Including asymmetric multiplayer gameplay — one character racing around the grid while the others hunt them down. It’s easily the strongest example of how turns play out in most of the planned games, with each player analysing the playing field as it stands before tweaking the dials on their controller (secretly) to reflect their planned next move. Players then reveal their controllers for the turn resolution and act out the moves.
While certainly a little disjointed in its removal of the frantic pace of the arcade title, the concealment and reveal of player intent adds a layer of both suspense and tact to the game. Where players in the arcade title were running on reflex spliced with mild foresight, reflex in 8-Bit Box’s Pixoid is instead populated with chess-like forward anticipation and calculation. It’s clever, to say the least.
As it stands, the 8-Bit Box is definitely in the late prototyping stage, although it has already received a light showcasing while at the Nuremberg Toy Fair earlier on in the year.
The 8-Bit Box is currently expected to release before the end of 2018.

SEAL TEAM FLIX is a fully co-operative or solo tactical dexterity game that pits 1-4 players against an eco-terrorist group called, Gaia’s Hope. Players will travel modern through urban landscapes, such as an office building, warehouse, bank vault and three others.
Accuracy plays a huge role in winning, and this game has a prominent dexterity factor that emulates the importance of skill and speed.
The game has two modes: Campaign and Skirmish, in which players embark on an 8-Mission non-linear campaign or simply choose one of the 17 Missions to play as a skirmish. In addition, the game’s difficulty scales both with the number of SEALs playing as well as three optional Difficulty levels.
Each mission is objective-based, with primary and secondary objectives which need to be resolved to successfully complete each mission. For example, in some missions you must locate and acquire intelligence against Gaia’s Hope. In others, you must diffuse time bombs or rescue hostages.
While you are given intelligence at the beginning of each mission as to the number and nature of the objectives that need to be completed, every game will be different because you will never know where on the map they are until you physically locate them with your SEALs.

Battlespace Games announces Jester’s Court, Suit Thyself!
You are a powerful Mage. But not that powerful. And you and some other Spell Casters have managed to anger some very powerful Wizards? So the Wizards of Hearts, Spades, Diamonds, and Clubs banished all the upstarts to a small pocket of Limbo called Jester’s Court? Now you and the others must escape. To do that you must collect a banner from each Wizard’s suit. By crossing an edge of Jester’s Court, you gain that banner.
Jester’s Court, Suit Thyself! is a 2 to 4 player game for ages 9 and up. It has unique movement and competitive mechanics with subtle degrees of luck and strategy.
Using cards, players maneuver their Mage on a grid and attack other players to weaken their avatars and eventually cause them to lose some of the suits they’ve collected.
Blocking stones may also be placed, and players may also take steps to heal their Mage.

WizKids is excited to announce a new game that puts the Fun in dungeon, Fungeon Party!
Designed by Brian Lewis, David McGregor, Marissa Misura, and Tom Jones, this is a fast paced, quest completion game which takes a traditional dungeon party and puts them in a truly nontraditional dungeon crawler.
2 to 5 players pick a class from a list of classic adventure choices; such as Barbarian, Cleric, Ranger, and Wizard, just to name a few. Each class has their own stats, which can be upgraded as experience points are earned, as well as a special ability that will help the party complete a pile of at least 6 quests.
Quest cards are drawn from a stack and placed in the middle of all players. Using a cell phone or stopwatch, a timer is set for 30 seconds per quest, so 6 quests would be a 3-minute timer. Someone yells “GO”, the top quest card is flipped over, and the goal is to complete all quests before the timer runs out! Sounds simple, but is it?
What types of quests would you expect in a Fungeon? Stack dice on your forehead, bounce dice into the box, knock down a meeple surrounded by dice, balance a meeple on a stick. These, and many more wacky quests await the brave adventures that travel through the corridors of a Fungeon!
Gather your party and check out this quick, easy, and FUN game to learn and play!Fungeon Party will be available at your Friendly Local Game Store June 2018 for $29.99. Pre-order today!
