Return to France again with the sixth expansion for the legendary Carcassonne, available for pre-order from Z-Man Games or from your local retailer.
New characters and starting points provide a fresh start for the classic tile-laying game. Choose to begin your adventure with the grand city itself, Carcassonne. Or wander along the edges of a new, winding river. Combine the new river tiles with those from the base game for a more complex river design.
CLAIM THE CITY OR THE ROADS
Will you be a benevolent ruler? Only a king can rule the largest city. Help your kingdom grow and claim the crown. The new king tile grants bonus points to the holder of the largest city. Want to travel a different path? Journey the land, mapping out the roadways and claiming the longest road for bonus points with the robber.
CONTROL THE KINGDOM
The city of Carcassonne has four main areas: the castle, market, cathedral, and blacksmith. The mysterious count starts in the castle but can manipulate the districts as he moves around the city. When adding a follower to the city, you can sway the count and move him to a different district. Think carefully with your placement. The count’s location in a new district frees trapped followers for future turns while also blocking other followers from moving.
CHALLENGE THE MONASTERY
Explore a new role with the heretics. Challenge the monks by building shrines and disrupting the monastery. When placing a shrine adjacent to an occupied monastery, a challenge occurs. Race to complete your feature and take the precious points for yourself.

It’s the Greatest Show On Earth! Z-Man Games has released the 10th expansion for Carcassonne, Under the Big Top, where the focus is on scoring points through interactions with adjacent tiles.
Included in Under the Big Top ($20 retail) are 40 new tiles, animal tokens, ringmaster meeples, and a wood big-top piece. Circus tiles give points both to the meeples on them and to those on adjacent tiles. Acrobat tiles score multiple meeples, with new ones stacked in a pyramid when tiles are placed adjacent. And ringmaster meeples are placed as normal but score bonus points for adjacent circus and acrobat tiles.
The tent has been pitched outside of town and the performers are ready to thrill the crowd with their death-defying stunts. A new world of excitement awaits in Under the Big Top, the tenth expansion for award-winning tile-laying game Carcassonne. Capturing the thrill of the circus, this expansion incorporates twenty new Land tiles and two new follower types into the Carcassonne library. Players can use them to attract people from all over the countryside to view their menagerie of animals or witness their feats of death-defying skill. Just like the daring risks that circus performers take, Under the Big Top gives players plenty of opportunities to score big points—if they can draw in the crowds!
