DC Comics Deck Building Game Crossover Pack 5: The Rogues is Released

March 30th, 2017

Asking for help is never a strong suit for villains, but sometimes they need a helping hand to snag a big score or take down a worthy hero. Villains like Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, Heatwave and the rest often need to work together to take down The Flash and his speedy allies. With DC Comics Deck-Building Game Crossover Pack 5: The Rogues, you become a Super-Villain who always has some help within reach, thanks to Teamwork.

“Teamwork” is a keyword found on each of the oversized Super-Villain cards and several new cards for the main deck. It allows you to play the top card of another player’s deck. The code “honor among thieves” usually applies here, as the player who you chose to assist you gets a piece of the action.

Speaking of action, every Rogues card in the set immediately grants you Victory Point tokens when acquired. These VP tokens will come in handy during the game. After all, it takes money to make money . . .

Adds additional play value to DC Comics Deck-Building Game, Heroes Unite, Forever Evil, or Teen Titans.

This is not a standalone product and must be used with one of the games mentioned above.

March 17th, 2017

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and collectibles, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, today announced the March 22 release of DC Deck-Building Game Crossover Pack 5: Rogues. The expansion for the popular DC Deck-Building Game series allows players to play as six of The Flash’s worst enemies, who must work together using the new “Teamwork” mechanic.

Each player chooses a Rogues Super-Villain to play as, then they shuffle in the pack’s 23 new main deck cards into any DC Deck-Building Game base set, instantly adding all-new Equipment, Villain, Hero, Super Power, and Location cards. The pack even comes with eight Super Heroes for the Rogues to battle.

“Teamwork” lets a player play the top card of a foe’s deck, underscoring an alliance the Rogues have formed as they try to eliminate The Flash and his friends. Since Super-Villains are always looking out for their own interests, any player whose deck is used by another player automatically gains one Victory Point (VP). Also, every main deck card in the set immediately grants a player VP tokens when acquired.

DC Deck-Building Game Crossover Pack 5: Rogues will be available at retailers nationwide this week for a suggested retail price of $12.99. It requires a copy of the original DC Deck-Building Game or one of its standalone expansions—Heroes Unite, Forever Evil, or Teen Titans—to play.

Fantasy Flight Games announce Redemption and Return, the sixth Force Pack in the Endor cycle for Star Wars: The Card Game!

The battle for Endor has raged across three arenas—at the shield generator on the Forest Moon, in the skies around the Death Star, and in the Emperor’s throne room, where the Lords of the Sith confront the last Jedi. Throughout this cycle, you’ve followed the thrilling events of Return of the Jedi across these arenas. Now, with Redemption and Return, the Endor cycle accelerates to its climactic finale: the conflict between the Emperor, Darth Vader, and Luke Skywalker. As the Emperor tempts Luke with the power of the dark side, and Luke Skywalker fights desperately to redeem his father, you can play out these iconic conflicts in your own games of Star Wars: The Card Game.

Like the other Force Packs of the Endor cycle, Redemption and Return also focuses on the new mission cards. Missions are objective cards that you can play under your opponent’s control, which offer powerful rewards when they’re destroyed. In addition to new missions, this expansion’s ten objective sets (two copies each of five distinct sets) offer new versions of iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine to expand your options and inspire your deckbuilding.
