CMON Limited announced that they have teamed with Steve Jackson Games to design and publish Munchkin Dungeon based on the award-winning card game.
Munchkin Dungeon captures the same playful sense of humor of the original card game, while providing a completely new experience. It is the first collaboration between designers Eric M. Lang (Blood Rage, Rising Sun, Arcadia Quest) and Andrea Chiarvesio (Richard the Lionheart, Kingsburg, Hyperborea).
In the game, 3-6 players will enter a dungeon and attempt to collect the most treasure and achieve the highest character level. They will have to push their luck if they want to be successful in their adventure, but if they come across a foe that’s a little too big to face, they can always run away. If players choose to take the cowardly (albeit occasionally logical) route of avoiding danger, they will earn Shame which will be counted against them at the end of the game. You can’t be a hero without exhibiting a little bravery!
Munchkin Dungeon comes to life on the tabletop with highly-detailed miniature figures and illustrations by legendary artist Jon Kovalic. Fans of the Munchkin series of games will feel right at home with the whimsical art that Kovalic is famous for, and players old and new will have hours of fun exploring dungeons, fighting monsters, and betraying their closest friends!
Munchkin Dungeon is coming to Kickstarter in 2019. Stay tuned for updates on the CMON Facebook page as the campaign approaches.

Galactic Scoundrels is a game made by and for people who love science fiction stories from the morally questionable end of the galaxy.
From Firefly to Cowboy Bebop to Star Wars to Rick and Morty, the game has a trope for just about every scoundrel story out there, but it tilts toward the space western genre more than most.
You have one goal in the game: to become the richest swindler in the galaxy, while telling some beautiful stories along the way. You’ll attempt this by agreeing to some not-very-nice jobs. Whether it’s an assassination, a kidnapping, or just an old-fashioned smuggling run, everyone playing tells the tale of each job one event at a time. Every action taken, every roll of the dice, every card played advances the story, complicating the adventure of the scoundrel who’s trying to make it to payday. Adventures can be serious or silly, tame or wild, absurd or plausible, whatever the players in your game decide. Along the way, the game will have you gambling, bluffing, negotiating, and occasionally tricking other players for a bit of extra profit.
It’s a wild, woolly mess of a galaxy out there, and it’s filled with stories. See if you have what it takes to survive them in Galactic Scoundrels from Little Rock Games.

Following up on the success of the Removable Sticker Set for Gloomhaven, Sinister Fish Games is very happy to announce its next game: Villagers, by designer and illustrator Haakon Gaarder. Villagers launches on Kickstarter on May 15th.
A game of card drafting and village building for 1-5 players, Villagers is a light to medium-weight Euro style card game that feels like it should come in a much bigger box.
Players are charged with building a village from scratch, populating it from a limited and changing selection of 55 different villagers, many of whom rely on others for their tools and raw materials. New villagers are drafted from a central “road” area, which also acts as a timer for the game. With no single winning strategy, the game rewards careful drafting and the balancing of food production, building capacity, and earning potential.
Villagers includes an intriguing solo mode, in which the player faces off against an AI opponent; the dreaded Countess, who seeks to restore her former glory at any cost. The early rounds take place in Summer, but fair weather does little to lull the fury of the Countess. And when Winter comes, she really loses her temper.
The Villagers Kickstarter campaign, launching Tuesday May 15th, will aim not only to raise the funds needed to manufacture the game, but also to expand it. Several modular mini-expansions are planned for the campaign stretch goals, including new villager cards and new ways to score. Any unlocked stretch goal content will be included for backers of the game at no extra cost, and will be available for purchase seperately after the campaign ends.
Additionally, Kickstarter backers will have the opportunity to pledge for a heavily discounted set of 107 wooden coins in a funky magnetic treasure chest, designed to replace the cardboard coins included in the game. The coins will come in six denominations all of different size, and will be available separately both during and after the campaign.
- Number of players: 1-5
- Playtime: 15 minutes per player
- Mechanisms: card drafting, tableau building, set collection, engine building, hand management.
- Weight / complexity: medium
- Designer & Illustrator: Haakon Gaarder
- Publisher: Sinister Fish Games
- Release Date: May 15th, 2018 (Kickstarter)
- Contents: 131 villager cards, 107 coins, 2 market cards, 5 player aides, 5 village cards, 21 solo mode cards, 1 first player card and 1 rules booklet.
- Optional extra: 107 wooden coins in a magnetically fastened cardboard treasure chest.

Fight fire with fire in the one and only competitive forest fire board game, Fire Tower!
Gwen Ruelle of Brooklyn, New York and Samuel Bryant of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts will be launching a Kickstarter campaign for their new game, Fire Tower, on April 24th. The 2-4 player game combines hand management and strategic pattern laying to create a fast-paced game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. The game features vivid, colorful watercolor design by fine artist Kevin Ruelle, and beautiful components that will catch anyone’s attention.
Over the past three years, Sam and Gwen have been designing, developing, and play testing Fire Tower, bringing it to 15 game conventions and countless game nights. Fire Tower won the Audience Choice Award for Tabletop at the Champlain Games Festival, and was selected to be in three different indie game showcases, including The Boston Festival of Indie Games, The Too Many Games Indie Showcase, and the Connecticut Festival of Indie Games, where it was awarded Best First Impression and runner-up for Best in Show.
In Fire Tower, each player mans a fire tower and uses action cards and spatial planning to protect their tower. Every turn the fire spreads in the direction of the wind, and players must skillfully and efficiently manage their cards to avoid going down in flames. Players can harness the power of the wind to push the inferno towards their opponents, clear tracts of land to create a fortress around their towers, hinder the plans of their opponents with torrents of water, and unleash an arsenal of fire cards upon their foes. Each card type has a unique pattern with its own tactical advantage, and players must effectively direct the resources in their hand anduse sound spatial planning to deploy them. Click here to view our How To Play video. The game is easy to learn, takes only seconds to set up, and is intuitive to play, so that you can start playing within minutes of opening the box. That said, this is not a simple game to master: multiple variables allow for a wide range of strategies, and no two games look alike.
The game will be available for a discounted price of $39 on Kickstarter, with free shipping in the US and friendly shipping to the EU, Canada, and Australia.
