Ostfront Publishing is excited to announce the release of Westfront, a WWI tabletop game aimed at company to battalion level games and representing the feeling of the great war for those at the front.
Westfront is based on first hand accounts of the war and implements many of the features that provide the flavor of WWI. Communication issues, misguided orders, vehicles bogging down in mud, creeping barrages of artillery giving your men cover as they advance, gas attacks, reconnaissance, getting lost, and more. All presented in a simple and fast-play format, with games taking around 2 hours.
Westfront includes army lists for the central powers and the allies, and has a freeform army list system where you can choose infantry, artillery, vehicles, trenches, barbed wire, pillboxes and cavalry, creating the list you need to fulfill your orders. The lists are split up into early, mid, and late war, showing the evolution of units and tactics throughout the war.
Orders are generated from the dynamic order system, where each player draws a playing card before the game and is given objectives. Sometimes these orders even change mid-game!
Westfront is aimed at 1/72 and 15mm scale, but would work just as well at 10mm or 6mm scales. It puts the player in the shoes of a Field commander who must contend with orders from above, deal with the chaos of the battlefield, all while attempting to command, resupply and communicate with his forces.

Tiny Robots Big Explosions (TiRoBEx); The name says it all and it’s available now!
Take control of the smallest robots, and run amok on the battlefield with explosions so huge that they cause the very ground to shake, obscure your vision and create a fireball so big that it lasts well into the following turns of the game. Allocate your power to ensure your tiny robot has the best chance of survival; will you increase your attack, attempt to dodge incoming fire, run like the wind? Whatever you choose, don’t forget about the resources scattered around the board, these could make or break your game…
From Project Good, the team that brought you Good: the Battle (the game you can play with any miniature, any scale, any genre anywhere!), comes a science fiction skirmish game set in the 28mm world, but using robots of about 6mm in height. They may be small, but they have the capability to destroy the entire board! The full rules are available from Wargame Vault including all the cards, sheets and tokens you need to play.

The forces of Waiqar the Undying come in many forms and take many shapes. Though they all serve their master faithfully, some perform their work through swords and blades, others through the art of necromancy. Still others rally the hordes of undead around them, keeping the rhythm of armies with sinister percussion or heralding the destruction of all who stand in their way as standard bearers.
Today, Fantasy Flight Games are looking at the Waiqar Infantry Command Unit Upgrade Expansion for the Runewars Miniatures Game. With four new figures and eighteen new upgrade cards, the expansion offers plenty of ways to customize your Runewars Miniatures Game armies while bolstering the forces of Waiqar the Undying.

In earlier previews of the C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack, FFG explored how the Scum faction goes Epic with its huge new ship and how the expansion adds new versatility to the faction’s M3-A “Scyk” Interceptors. However, if there’s any one part of the expansion that’s most likely to impact both Epic and Standard X-Wing™ play, it’s the new crew upgrade— Jabba the Hutt .
Today, we take a closer look at what Jabba brings to X-Wing.
n X-Wing, Jabba the Hutt is a double-slotted crew upgrade that ensures Scum players a chance to enjoy the bounties of his vast criminal network.
But first you have to get him aboard a ship—which, by the way, is no easy task. Currently, only two Scum ships feature two crew slots—the huge-base C-ROC Cruiser and the large-base YV-666 . And only the YV-666 is legal for Standard Play.
Once you get Jabba on board one of your ships, however, he adds immediate value, placing one illicit token to each of your illicit ( ) upgrades. These tokens then give you more uses of the illicit upgrades they modify; whenever you are instructed to discard an illicit upgrade, you can instead discard its illicit token, if it has one.
In short, Jabba the Hutt is Extra Munitions for every illicit upgrade in your squad.
This means Jabba—like Extra Munitions—serves largely to boost the economic value of your upgrades. But it’s important to note that his influence goes a step or two further.

The Desert Rats are the only thing standing in the way of Axis conquest of North Africa. Despite suffering repeated defeats at the hands of Rommel’s Afrika Korps, they remain undaunted. Their speedy Crusader and Honey tanks can run circles around their opposition, backed up by the heavier Grant squadrons. Their motorised infantry are equally adept in attack or defence. With support from the Royal Artillery and the Desert Air Force, they are a formidable and versatile force.
The German Afrika Korps is a hard-fighting force of tough veteran troops who have won many battles and expect to win many more. Their Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks outclass the British tanks they face, and have been steadily upgraded to maintain their edge over the opposition. Their infantry are organised to have ‘few men, many weapons’, so they pack a ferocious punch whether facing infantry or tanks. These are backed by the famous ‘88? dual-purpose anti-tank/anti-aircraft gun and the Stuka dive bomber.
