RPG Encounter Mat Kickstarter from Battlemats

RPG-Encounter-Mats-e1495714920953

May 27th, 2017

Battlemats are pleased to announce the launch of the RPG Encounter Mat Kickstarter campaign.

We are expanding our existing RPG Encounter Mat range with 20 designs available as physical vinyl mats and digital files, or as a combination of both.

We aim to have the ideal backdrop for any encounter in any roleplay game!

Our mats are all available in 2’x2’, and over half have a 3’x2’ option. Our images are available with or without, a 1” grid overlaid on the image.

Our digital files are suitable for home printing (on multiple A4 sheets then assemble) and/or for virtual table top.

At Battlemats we work in PVC vinyl for several reasons. It is a highly durable material, 500gsm is very heavy duty (so much heavier than a PVC tablecloth for example) and it will not tear. It is heavy enough to lie comfortably flat under its own weight – no curling edges here! –and we recommend our mats are stored rolled in the cardboard tube provided.

You can also draw on our PVC mats using a chalk pen or non-permanent wet marker, and they will wipe clean. This means you can personalise your experience and customise your mat for as many different scenarios as you can think of!

We are pretty excited about this Kickstarter launch, and we are celebrating by designing even more designs as stretch goals!

Tequendria: Fantastical Roleplaying Available Now

Tequendria

April 23rd, 2017

Tequendria: Fantastical Roleplaying is a brand new RPG inspired by the works of fantasy master Lord Dunsany and is available now as a pay what you want PDF from DriveThruRPG.

Tequendria is a rules-lite roleplaying game by Trollish Delver Games that puts players in the shoes of everything but the usual fantasy roles. The game boasts twenty archetypes, including Gravekeeper of Zum, who defends against the undead, a construct called the Doomgaunt, and the aethership pilot.

Locations are all inspired by Dunsanian stories, where adventurers can do battle against the god-spider Hlo-hlo in his underground network, or discover Babbulkund, the City of Marvel; and even assault the Tower Unvanquishable. Travel the wilds of Yann where the winter will bite as fiercely as the wolves, or delve in to the ancient Pits of Snood and face the demons within. Magic coarses through the veins of Tequendria, meaning every creature is somewhat capable of casting spells. Above the clouds of the world adventurers can take to their aether in mighty vessels, visiting strange alien worlds like Dim Carcosa and the Snurk Pits of the Bounds of Leng.

Tequendria is powered by Unbelievably Simple Roleplaying (USR), which is a quick, flexible system designed for beginners and veterans alike.

Creator Scott Malthouse said: “I was surprised that nobody has created a game inspired by Dunsany’s works. His works and worlds are so evocative that they make for rich game fodder. His stories don’t necessarily take place in the same world, which is why I wanted to bring everything together under one roof and put my own spin on his cities and countries.”

The book contains several works by Dunsany to allow new readers to experience his poetic writings first hand.

There is no single path to peace, but the Galactic Empire has ensured that all such routes are fraught with danger. The Consular works with the Force to bring peace wherever they go, and the all-new Disciples of Harmony sourcebook expands players’ options in the Star Wars: Force and Destiny role playing game, including three new specializations and adding on three new species.

Although all it takes to be a successful Consular is a desire to see justice done, some species are more inclined to seek balance and peace in a way that lines up with the ways of the Consular. The Arkanian, Cosian, and Pau’an species are presented in Disciples of Harmony, opening your campaign to cultures focused on Jedi lore, negotiating, and medicine, each having a unique view of the Force.

This preview provides a look at each of these three species and how they play into the role of the Consular.

Manage your talent choices more easily with the Sentinel Specialization Decks available now for the Star Wars™: Force and Destiny™ Roleplaying Game from Fantasy Flight Games.

These decks bring the new specializations introduced in the Endless Vigil source book right to your fingertips!
