What’s coming next for Ares Games’ Wings of Glory game lines?
Good news for WW1 and WW2 Wings of Glory players is the return of the Wings of Glory Game Mats – these best-selling accessories are out of stock, but will be available again within a few weeks.
One of the new Caproni Ca.3 bombers (La Guardia/Zapelloni), coming in May.
New WW1 Airplane Packs were released a few weeks ago – SPAD S.VII, Albatros D.II, Bristol F.2B and Halberstadt CL.II – and the WW1 Special Packs are back next month, with a new release of Gotha G.Vs and Caproni Ca.3s. Both lines are developing at a steady pace, and new releases will be available this Summer.
In June, new WW1 fighters will be in stores, including the eagerly awaited Fokker D.VII and Sopwith Snipe, along with two “scouts,” the Roland C.II and AirCo DH.4. These WW1 Airplane Packs will feature the four fighters in three different versions each: the Fokker D.VII of Goering, Sachsenberg and Stark; the Sopwith Snipe of Barker, Kazakov and Sapozhnikov; the Roland C.II of Von Richthofen, Luftstreitkrafte and FFA 292b; and the AirCo DH.4, of 50th Squadron AEF, Cotton/Betts and Bartlett/Naylor.

In July we will (finally!) see the release of the long-awaited WW2 4-engine bombers: the B-17 and Avro Lancaster. These beauties will be released as WW2 Wings of Glory Special Packs featuring the B-17F “Memphis Belle,” the B-17G “A Bit of Lace,” the Avro Lancaster B.III “Grog’s the Shot,” and Mk.III Dambuster. These packs will be, in fact, mini-expansions to the game, presenting, in addition to the miniatures, paper play mats with specific targets (industrial sites, dams), and special rules.
