Battlefront have released their Battlefield in a Box: Medium Desert House for Flames of War 15mm WW2 Miniatures.
Scenery has always played a vital part in Flames Of War. With the pending release of 4th Edition and the return to the desert for Mid-war, we’ve taken the opportunity to refresh our range of Battlefield in a Box desert terrain.
Four walls and a roof provide the infantryman with protection from small arms fire and shell fragments. Making them difficult to winkle out without the aid of some real firepower.
Also released are their Desert Escarpments Battlefield in a Box set. These naturally occurring slopes are a tank crew’s best friend. Blocking line of sight; allowing room to manoeuvre and outflank the enemy or providing concealed firing position when taking up a hull down position.

What do you do when you are told to upgrade an already giant metal monster that took a whole new generation of tank design to actually deal with? You make it bigger and make it louder. The IS-2 is that very same beast, made as a competent replacement for the KV series and it was a far better designed machine than its predecessor.
The metal behemoths at the vangard of the Soviet forces in Bolt Action Miniatures need an upgrade and here it is – with the new IS-2 Heavy Tank Plastic Box Set from Warlord Games!
- Enough plastic components to make the IS-2 heavy tank!
- Full-colour detailed construction booklet.
- Full-colour waterslide decals.
- A 8-man squad of infantry that can used as tank riders or normal infantry!
- A stat card which holds all the essential info you need to use your tank!
- A set of damage markers for that real psychological (& cinematic) effect!

Gale Force Nine are previewing some of the models for their new ww2 miniatures game TANKS, and this one is the M10 Lend-Lease expansion, set to release in November 2016.
The Lend-Lease program saw thousands of tanks supplied to the Soviet Union during the war. Amongst these were a small number of M10 tank destroyers that somehow found their way to the Eastern Front. Whilst not as heavily armed or armoured as some Soviet designs, the turret meant it was one of the few self-propelled guns that could not easily be outflanked.
This pack contains:
1x Unassembled M-10 (Lend-Lease) tank
1x M-10 (Lend-Lease) tank card
1x Hero card
2x Crew cards
2x Upgrade cards

The Battles of Khalkhin-Gol is a series of battles fought along the Halha River (Khalkhin-Gol), on the Soviet-Japanese border, at the very beginning of World War II.
The Japanese Sixth Army was facing the Soviet 57th Special Corps, including Mongolian cavalry. At first, the battles were only short skirmishes, but it soon escalated into open war. The whole campaign lasted 5 months and ended with a Soviet victory.

Ostfront is the result of 5 years of research and play-testing. Its a comprehensive World War 2 system aimed at historical accuracy, balance and fun. The rules have been streamlined over the years. Its quick, brutal and rewards bold commanders with sound tactics.
Ostfront covers Infantry, Light Vehicles, all varieties of Tanks and Self-Propelled guns, Artillery in the form of Field Guns and Howitzers, Air Support and Air defense, as well various other forms of support and fortifications. It can be played in any theater of WW2, from North Africa to the Pacific. Aimed at 1/72, 1/100 or smaller scale miniatures. It would also work fine for 28mm.
The Ostfront system is all about combined arms – it plays at a Company to Battalion level, with the smallest unit being the Infantry Platoon. Infantry are deployed in bases, each one representing about 25 men for regulars, and about 10 men for the veteran Assault Infantry units. At 1/72 scale we usually use 3-4 miniatures per base, meaning you can make a large amount of bases from any cheap infantry box – one airfix box of 48 miniatures would give you 10 bases.
Tanks are of course a large part of Ostfront battles, with the average game fielding anywhere from 1 to 20 of them per side, sometimes more in larger games. Light vehicles play an important role, and reconnaissance has a tangible effect in-game – he who scouts out the area first can gain a tactical advantage.
