Corey Wright and his Corvallis, Oregon game publishing company, Massif Games, launched a crowd-funding campaign for “Kartoffelkrieg” on Kickstarter. They are seeking to raise $19,000
USD for a game that uses real potatoes and miniature parts to simulate mechanized potato combat!
Kartoffelkrieg is a crazy looking 3-4 player game invented by Michael Craughwell, better know as Michaelcthulhu, a YouTuber who makes giant custom swords and hammers! During the game, players assume the roles of giant weaponized potatoes, and maneuver around the table, attacking and hiding from their components, while seeking to get “hit” points from destroying parts.
Game Mechanisms include take that, dice rolling, variable player powers, and other elements that make it much like a gateway, family-friendly war game!
Massif Games will use the money raised to pay for manufacturing, freight, and fulfillment costs, and hope to expand their operations to have a positive influence on the local economy.
