Toy Vault announces Outlander: Destiny dice game

December 8th, 2016

Outlander: Destiny Dice is a new dice game from Toy Vault which gives its players the power to bring Jamie and Claire together and fulfill their destiny.

Outlander: Destiny Dice supports 2-4 players in 20-30 minutes.

On a player’s turn, she rolls the 6 custom dice up to three times. The goal is to score Jamie faces or Claire faces. Dark characters like Black Jack Randall, and Laoghaire Mackenzie can ruin great rolls when they appear while helpful characters like Jenny or Dougal, can save poor rolls. Players can alter destiny through action cards which allow players to reroll dice or modify their roll.

After each player has rolled, players compare rolls. The best rolls advance their players forward on the destiny track, bringing Jamie and Claire closer together. The first player to get Jamie and Claire together wins the game.

Outlander: Destiny Dice contains:

  • 6 oversized custom full color dice
  • 40 Action cards
  • 4 reference cards
  • 8 markers (2 for each player)
  • A full-color rulebook

ToyVault has released their new party card game, But Wait, There’s More.

April 12th, 2015

Do the tired old games at your weekly game night have you wishing for something new? Do you yearn for a little more excitement than just throwing cards on a table? Well worry no more!

ToyVault, Inc. is proud to bring you “But Wait, There’s More!”: the exciting new game where you create and pitch crazy products with all the energy of a TV pitchman!

Designed by Jay Cormier and Sen-Foong Lim, creators of such games as Belfort and Akrotiri, “But Wait, There’s More!” is sure to have everyone in stitches from the moment you open the box!

In “But Wait, There’s More!”, up to 10 players act as contraption companies hawking everyday items but with off-the-wall twists! Each round, an average product is chosen and each player secretly selects a Feature card from their hand to create their own unique spin on the item. When it’s their time to shine, they have 30 seconds to perform a commercial for their company’s new, one-of-a-kind product! But that’s not all! Midway through their pitch, a random Feature card is drawn and that player must incorporate the new feature while continuing to hawk their item, always with hilarious results!

You could be shilling a microwave with a splatter-free design and powerful vacuum action! Or maybe a bicycle with attached safety leash that makes delicious yogurt in seconds! You’ll never know what kinds of wacky inventions you’ll come up with!

Once all the pitches have been made, players secretly vote on whose commercial was best. The player with the most points at the end of 3 rounds is the top salesman!

But wait, there’s more!

Included in this offer is the ‘Tell Us More!’ card, which can be played at any time and will force the current peddler to continue their pitch for another 30 seconds, adding in yet another random feature!

Each copy of “But Wait, There’s More!” includes 50 Product cards, 150 Feature cards, 60 Vote cards, 5 Company cards, and 1 ‘Tell Us More!’ card – that’s over 250 cards all in one box! Also included are 30-second sand timer and rulesheet. No batteries needed, expansions sold separately.

Firefly: Fistful of Credits releases in March 2015 from Toy Vault

December 4th, 2014

Do the job. Get paid. Aim to misbehave.

‘Firefly: Fistful of Credits’ is a two-to-four-player cooperative game where players step into the boots of Serenity’s crew to pull off a series of dangerous heists and hopefully walk away with their lives and a tidy fortune! The game features 3 distinct heist scenarios inspired by the episodes Bushwhacked, The Train Job, and Ariel; each with their own highly-detailed board, tokens, and Heist card, which details unique objectives from the show that must be accomplished in order to win.

Players pair up any two of the nine crew members, forming unique teams that work with other players to collect gear, fight, and face both luck and misfortune while racing against the clock to complete the heist. Be careful: triggering an alarm, lollygagging around or sticking your nose in the wrong crate can open up a whole world of ugly – be it Reavers, Alliance, or the sinister Hands of Blue!

Fail and it’s all over… but succeeding means you and your crew walk away with more than a Fistful of Credits!

Featuring exclusive artwork inspired by characters, props and settings from the show, ‘Firefly: Fistful of Credits’ arrives March 2015 from Toy Vault
